1. Introduction

AkiAppsDev (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information and user data in the Android applications we provide (collectively referred to as "our Apps"). This Policy complies with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法 / hereinafter "APPI"), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Google Play Developer Program Policies.

This Policy applies to all Android applications we publish on the Google Play Store. App-specific handling is described in Section 2 onwards.

2. Information Collected

The information collected differs from app to app. Information directly entered by users is, in principle, stored only on the user's device and is not transmitted externally. For ad delivery and crash reporting, certain user data may be transmitted externally via SDKs provided by Google (see Section 4 for details).

2-1. Information Collected per App

This table will be updated as new apps are published.

Foreground-app detection in Wakelit: Wakelit uses Android's PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission to detect when a watched app is currently in the foreground so it can keep the screen on. The foreground package name is referenced on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers or to third parties. Browsing history and content viewed are not collected.

2-2. Information Commonly Collected (via Ad SDK)

For our Apps that display advertisements, the Google AdMob SDK collects and transmits the following information:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID)
• IP address
• Device information (model, OS version, language, time zone)
• Approximate location (country level, based on IP address)
• App interaction and ad viewing logs

3. Purpose of Use

Pursuant to Article 17 of the APPI, we use the collected information only within the scope of the following purposes:

• To provide the functionality of our Apps (recording, displaying, and aggregating data entered by users)
• To deliver and optimize advertisements (via Google AdMob)
• To analyze and improve app stability and quality (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• To aggregate and analyze usage data and improve app features (via Firebase Analytics)
• To respond to inquiries
• To notify users of changes to this Policy and other communications

If we use the collected information for purposes other than those above, we will obtain the user's prior consent.

4. Third-Party Disclosure (List of Recipient SDKs)

Our Apps use the following third-party services (SDKs), and user data is transmitted to each service. In no case do we directly transmit a user's name, address, telephone number, or email address.

4-1. Google AdMob

• Information Transmitted: App usage events (screen transitions, session start/end, first launch, app update, etc.), device information (model, OS version, language, inferred country), Firebase Installation ID / App Instance ID, Advertising ID (AAID; only when UMP consent is obtained), app version
• Purpose of Transmission: Aggregation and analysis of usage data, improvement of app features, and integration with AdMob ad delivery optimization

If we introduce additional SDKs required for app-specific features (such as voice recognition, cloud sync, or in-app billing), we will amend this Policy and apply them only to the relevant apps.

5. Advertising

Some of our Apps display advertisements via Google AdMob. The handling of data associated with ad delivery is as described in Section 4-1.

5-1. Consent in the EU/EEA and UK (UMP)

For users in the EU/EEA and the UK, we obtain consent regarding the use of data for advertising purposes at first launch via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Users may choose between "personalized advertising" or "non-personalized advertising", and may change their preference at any time via the "Reconfigure consent settings" menu within the app.

5-2. Resetting the Advertising ID

Users can reset or delete the Advertising ID at any time via "Settings → Privacy → Ads" on their Android device.

6. Handling of Sensitive Personal Information

As a general rule, we do not handle information that may fall under "sensitive personal information" (要配慮個人情報) as defined in Article 2, paragraph 3 of the APPI (e.g., medical history, physical or mental disability, results of medical examinations by a physician, etc.).

のんだっけ? (Nondakke) handles medication information (drug name, dosing time, intake records, etc.) voluntarily entered by the user solely for the purpose of providing medication-reminder functionality. Such records are supplementary entries that the user maintains for their own self-management; we do not receive a physician's diagnosis or prescription information itself. This information is stored solely on the user's device (Room database) and is not transmitted to us or to any third party (including ad SDKs). This app is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or prescription — it is an aid for the user to keep their own medication record.

If we publish an app that otherwise handles sensitive personal information in the future, we will keep that information strictly within the user's device and will not transmit it to us or any third party. The amended details will be reflected in this Policy.

7. Children's Privacy

In line with the spirit of Google Play's Families Policy and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we strive to protect the personal information of children. We do not currently publish any app primarily targeting children under the age of 13.

If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has inadvertently provided personal information, we will promptly delete it. Please contact contact@akiappsdev.com.

8. Data Storage and Retention Period

• On-device data: Completely deleted when the user uninstalls the app. We do not have any means to back up or recover such data.
• Data via Google AdMob / Firebase Crashlytics / Firebase Analytics: Retained in accordance with Google LLC's data retention policies. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details.
• Inquiry records: We delete received emails approximately one year after the inquiry has been resolved.

9. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion Requests (APPI Articles 28–31)

Pursuant to Articles 28 through 31 of the APPI, users may make the following requests regarding the personal data we retain:

• Notification of purpose of use
• Disclosure of retained personal data (Article 28)
• Correction, addition, or deletion of retained personal data (Article 29)
• Cessation of use, erasure, or cessation of third-party provision of retained personal data (Article 30)
• Disclosure of records of third-party provision (Article 28, paragraph 5)

How to Submit a Request: Please contact contact@akiappsdev.com with the following information:

• Type of request (disclosure / correction / deletion, etc.)
• Name of the relevant app
• Details of the request
• Information for identity verification (email address, Google account, or other identifying information)

Estimated Response Time: We will respond in writing or by email within two weeks (or within 30 days for complex matters) after receiving the request. Please note that the majority of our Apps store data only on the device, and the personal data we retain and manage is therefore limited.

Fees: Responding to disclosure requests is free of charge. However, if you request a written response by post, you may be asked to bear the actual postage costs.

10. GDPR (For EU/EEA and UK Users)

For users in the EU/EEA and the UK, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR) and the UK GDPR apply.

10-2. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Delivery of personalized advertising; processing of special-category data (Art. 9(2)(a))
• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): Provision of app functionality
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Delivery of non-personalized advertising; crash analysis; prevention of fraudulent use

Users in the EU/EEA and the UK may exercise the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15)

10-4. Transfers to Third Countries

Google AdMob, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Analytics used in our Apps process data in the United States of America. Google LLC has adopted the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission, and such transfers to third countries are carried out on the basis of these SCCs. For details, please refer to Google's frameworks page.

10-5. Lodging a Complaint (Supervisory Authority)

Users in the EU/EEA and the UK have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority (DPA) in their country of residence. A list of national DPAs is available at the European Data Protection Board members page.

11. Security Measures

To prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of user data we collect, we implement the following security measures:

• Technical safeguards: Data entered by users is, in principle, stored on the device and is not transmitted externally. Where external communication is necessary, only encrypted communication via HTTPS (TLS) is used. Cloud services such as Firebase rely on Google's encrypted storage and access controls.
• Organizational safeguards: We operate as a sole proprietorship, and user data obtained in the course of business is handled solely by the proprietor. No business operations are outsourced to third parties.
• Physical safeguards: Development devices are protected by password / biometric lock and full-disk encryption.
• Personnel safeguards: The proprietor continuously engages in self-directed study of the APPI and the GDPR.

12. Terms of Use and Disclaimer

• Our Apps are provided "AS IS", and we make no warranty as to fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of the results obtained through their use.
• We may suspend or terminate the provision of our Apps without prior notice.
• Where our Apps or this Policy contain links to external websites, we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such linked sites.
• If we publish health- or medical-related apps, they do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and are not a substitute for medical care. Please consult a qualified medical professional for any health concerns.

12-bis. Trademarks and Third-Party Names

Our Apps (in particular subscription-management features such as SubFlow) may display the names of third-party services as preset suggestions to help you record your own subscriptions, including but not limited to Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, YouTube Premium, iCloud+, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Disney+ and Nintendo Switch Online.

• All such names, logos and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. We claim no rights in any of them.
• Our Apps are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or otherwise associated with any of these service providers.
• The amounts shown in any preset are reference values (estimates) only. Please confirm the actual subscription price, plan, currency and tax treatment with each service's official information. We make no representation as to the accuracy of these amounts.
• Please follow the official terms and cancellation procedures of each service provider for the use of their services.

13. Filing Complaints

Complaints regarding this Policy or our handling of personal information should first be addressed to contact@akiappsdev.com.

If you are not satisfied with our response, users in Japan may file a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC).

As described in Section 10-5, users in the EU/EEA and the UK may file a complaint with the data protection authority of their country of residence.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy due to changes in laws and regulations, changes to the functionality of our Apps, or other circumstances. The revised Policy shall take effect when posted on this page. For material changes, we will, to the extent possible, notify users via in-app notifications or dialogs displayed at app launch.
